Case 2

Saving teeth rather than extracting them all

A long-time former smoker, this patient had lost several teeth. Every practice she had consulted proposed the same plan: extract all the remaining teeth and place ten implants. We chose the opposite path: preserving as many of her natural teeth as possible. After a deep cleaning to restore oral health, her dentition was rebuilt with a bridge and just two implants.

  • Deep periodontal cleaning
  • Preservation of the remaining teeth
  • Restoration with a bridge
  • Only two implants

Case 2

A new smile despite multiple cavities

A 45-year-old patient with multiple cavities who was embarrassed by her smile. To fit her budget, we chose an all-composite approach: composite veneers on the two central incisors, and treatment of the remaining cavities with direct composite. A new life, a new smile, at a controlled cost.

  • Composite veneers on the two central incisors
  • Cavities treated with direct composite
  • A solution to fit the budget
  • A smile marked by multiple cavities: brown and black stains and damaged enamel on the upper and lower teeth.
    Before
  • After treatment: the teeth restored, cleaned up and harmonised, front view.
    After

Case 3

Closing a gap with composite, without orthodontics

A fast solution without orthodontic treatment: the gap between the incisors was closed in a single session using composite resin, for a natural, immediate result.

Case 4

Saving as many teeth as possible despite multiple cavities

A 30-year-old patient with multiple, very advanced cavities, especially on the upper teeth. Our goal: keep as many teeth as possible rather than extracting them. After a digital impression to analyse the situation and plan the treatment, then removing the decay and carrying out the root canal treatments, the dentition was rebuilt with a bridge and ceramic crowns, made in the laboratory and then fitted in the mouth, giving the patient a healthy, harmonious smile.

  • Removal of the decay and root canal treatment
  • Restoration with a bridge and crowns
  • Conservative approach
  • Goal: preserve as many teeth as possible
  • Initial situation: multiple, very advanced cavities have destroyed much of the upper teeth; the lower teeth are better preserved.
    Initial situation
  • The teeth after caries removal: the brown and black decayed tissue has been removed while preserving as much healthy tooth substance as possible.
Caries removal, preserving as much tooth substance as possible
  • 3D digital impression of the arch, taken with the iTero intraoral scanner to analyse the situation and plan the treatment.
    Digital impression
  • The bridge and ceramic crowns made in the laboratory, set on the plaster model of the jaw.
    Fabricating the bridge and crowns
  • The bridge and crowns fitted in the mouth, occlusal view of the restored arch.
